November 12, 2021 - On November 10, 2021 VFW Post 8904 Life Member Michael Wulf joined the Center Garden Club at the Blue Star Memorial and placed their Memorial Wreath in honor of Veterans Day.

November 3, 2021 - World War II Veteran, Mr. Allen Baker and his bride of 69 years, Bobbie wrap themselves in the Quilt of Valor he received from the Shelby County 4-H Heart to Hands Project, Texas A&M AgriLife extension.

October 19, 2021 - Members of VFW Post 8904, Center will be having breakfast at Trails End Grocery & RV, 5437 FM 3172, Shelbyville (Huxley) on Saturday, October 23 at 8am. October 13, 2021 - Women in the military have a history that extends over 400 years into the past throughout a large number of cultures and nations. World Wars I and II saw over 362,000 American women serving during war time. Today women make up 16% of the US military enlisted and 19% of the officer corps and their role has changed significantly over the years from clerical duties to ground combat soldiers to fighter pilots.
