August 4, 2021 - Members of VFW Post 8904 will be having breakfast at the Trails End Grocery and RV Park, Huxley Bay at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021. If you are a local veteran, you are invited to join us for some good camaraderie and fellowship. Breakfast is on us.

Peace Officer Memorial Day, Police Week

May 14, 2021 - Correction: US Flag Code § 7 (m) states "The flag shall be flown at half-staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day, unless that day is also Armed Forces Day."

This year, Saturday, May 15 is Peace Officers Memorial Day and also Armed Forces Day.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8904 and Auxiliary encourage you to proudly fly your flag at full staff on this day in honor of both Peace Officers memorial Day and Armed Forces Day.

VFW Post Honors Loyalty Day with US Flag at Senior Nutrition Center

May 5, 2021 - In honor of Loyalty Day, VFW 8904 and Auxiliary members changed out the US Flag at the Senior Nutrition Center, Loop 500, Center. The post donated and installed the flagpole in 2015 and have provided a new flag every year since on Loyalty Day.

VFW 8904 to Observe Victory in Europe (VE) Day

May 3, 2021 - Each year the World War II Allies remember May 8th, 1945, the date when they accepted the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. Adolf Hitler committed suicide during the Battle of Berlin so the surrender of Germany was authorized by his replacement, President of Germany Karl Donitz.
