Sixty years ago, Time was the number one weekly in the world. And that week, it's cover featured red letters on a black background. The message was a question - "Is God dead?" That's one of the ten most famous headlines in history.

Pope Paul called him the greatest theologian since Thomas Aquinas. Google some of these names and your brain will never return to its original size.

I hope you and yours had a blessed Easter weekend. The legendary words of the angel at the tomb are still ringing in our ears - "He is not here. He is risen!" And now we begin a brand-new month, the beautiful month of April. But be on the alert today for all those "April foolers" out there!

We come to the end of our five-day series on what Jesus was doing each day of the original Holy Week. During the last four days we've witnessed His encounters with friends and foes, with those who loved Him, and with those who plotted against Him.
And now, today - Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Man, the Lamb of God, the Christ, the Messiah, our Savior - is savagely nailed to a rugged wooden cross. It is Good Friday.

Wednesday saw Jesus and His disciples back in Bethany, a couple of miles east of Jerusalem, near the Mount of Olives. It would be a day of dramatic contrasts. A day with an inspiring act of worship and a disturbing act of betrayal.

We continue today with our series looking at what Jesus was doing each day of that first Holy Week. On Tuesday, Jesus and the Twelve were back in the Jerusalem temple. Friday would be a day of incredible testing for Jesus, but Tuesday would have testing of its own.
