Burn Ban Continued by Commissioners

June 29, 2022 - The Shelby County Commissioners met in an emergency session to consider continuing the burn ban put in place by Shelby County Judge Allison Harbison on Monday, June 27, 2022.

"Within seven days you have to ratify it to keep in in effect, or it goes out in seven days," said Judge Harbison.

She commented there is rain the forecast in the weekend, but she doesn't feel like the area will get enough rain to merit lifting the ban.

Commissioners Make Budget Adjustments, Consider Pharmaceutical Delivery for Jail

The Shelby County Commissioners approved some budget adjestments involving the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) and considered some pharmaceutical changes for the jail during their meeting held June 8, 2022.

Clint Porterfield, Shelby County Auditor, presented the current budget line-item transfers needed on the budget for house keeping purposes. 

Commissioners Appoint Price to County Attorney Office

June 20, 2022 - The Shelby County Commissioners Court have approved the appointment of John Price to the County Attorney's office during their meeting held Monday, June 20, 2022.

Previously the commissioners have met in executive session to discuss the necessity to appoint someone to the position of county attorney following the resignation of current county attorney Gary Rholes. (Rholes Announces Resignation from Office; Grateful to Voters - ).
