December 29, 2017 - The National Weather Service Shreveport LA at 6:11am CST Friday, December 29, 2017, issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the following areas: De Soto, Red River, Bienville, Sabine, Natchitoches, Winn, Grant, Caldwell, La Salle, Franklin, Titus, Camp, Morris, Wood, Upshur, Marion, Smith, Gregg, Harrison, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Angelina, San Augustine

NWS Issues Flood Watch, Short-Term Forecast, Hazardous Weather Outlook

August 27, 2017 - The National Weather Service Shreveport, Louisiana (NWS) issued a Flash Flood Watch at 3:46 PM CDT Sunday, August 27, 2017. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Deep East Texas eastward over Toledo Bend Country and adjacent sections of Louisiana until 7 AM CDT Tuesday.

The Flood Watch area is Sabine, Cherokee, Nacogdoches, Shelby, Angelina, and San Augustine and includes the cities of Many, Zwolle, Pleasant Hill, Jacksonville, Rusk, Nacogdoches, Center, Lufkin, San Augustine, Hemphill, and Pineland.

NWS Issues Flood Alert for Shelby County, Surrounding Areas

August 2, 2017 - The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for, Shelby County in eastern Texas, Northern San Augustine County in eastern Texas, Southeastern Panola County in northeastern Texas, Northern Sabine County in eastern Texas, Sabine Parish in northwestern Louisiana, Southeastern Rusk County in northeastern Texas, Northeastern Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas until 1:45pm CDT.

Shelby County Under Severe Thunderstorm Warning

July 8, 2017 - The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas, Southwestern Shelby County in eastern Texas, Northwestern Angelina County in eastern Texas, Northwestern San Augustine County in eastern Texas, and Eastern Cherokee County in northeastern Texas until 7pm CDT.

At 532 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Nacogdoches, moving southeast at 15 mph.

Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
