July 22, 2016 - Panola College was once again named a great college to work for, according to a new survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education, a top trade publication for colleges and universities. July 18, 2016 - The Panola College men’s basketball team will be conducting two separate summer camps next week. Both camps will be held on July 25th and 26th.
Youth skills camp will begin at 9:00 AM and go until Noon each day. Skills camp will include campers between grades 4th-8th. Boys and girls are both welcome to attend. Camp will consist of athleticism, overall skill development and position work.
July 6, 2016 - The Panola College Workforce and Continuing Education division is offering CDL training in partnership with Lufkin Truck Driving Academy. The training program is from July 11 – August 5, 2016, and will meet Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Shelby College Center. The cost of the class is $4,300.00 and pre-registration is required.
June 28, 2016 - With the construction of the new Health and Natural Sciences building at Panola College, the Panola College Foundation believed it was important to mark the memorable occasion. The Foundation decided to place a beautiful floating granite fountain on the north side of the Health and Natural Sciences building as a landmark for the College.
June 24, 2016 - Panola College/Shelby College Center is offering Yoga classes June 29 – August 10, 2016. The class will meet Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. June 16, 2016 - Panola College's Fulton Rutland is still sitting number one in the average in bullriding going in to the last two night's and then into Saturday night's main event Finals! He has completed his 3 rounds and is on top. He now has to sit patiently as they complete the next two nights and hopes to hold that number one spot and prepare for the finals on Saturday night.
June 16, 2016 - Three Panola College Athletes have been recognized by the NJCAA by earning Academic All-American honors, they include: Logan Bailey, a freshman baseball player from Hallsville, Tx.; Kia Fisker, a freshman basketball player from Denmark; and Leiyonna Young, a sophomore Volleyball player from Las Cruces, New Mexico.
June 15, 2016 - Panola College Continuing Education will be hosting a four day twirling camp July 19-22. The camp is open to students K-12th grades and will last from 8:30-12:30 each day. The campers should meet in the new Charles C. Matthews Student Center and check in will begin at 8:00 each day. The week will conclude with a showcase performance at 12:00 on Friday, July 22. The performance will be held in the A.J. Johnson Gymnasium.
