Ribbon Cutting Planned for Thrifty Loans

December 2, 2022 - The public is invited to attend a Ribbon Cutting for Thrifty Loans. The Ribbon Cutting will be held this Friday, December 2nd at 11:30am.

Local owner, David Lawrence and manager, Maria Harkness are dedicated to providing the most reliable loan services to all of their clients. They offer payday loans, title loans and installment loans for your needs. Each loan has different terms and advantages so it is important to find the one that is right for you.

Thrifty Loans is located at 908 Hurst Street.

Taste of the Holidays This Thursday

November 18, 2022 - The Taste of the Holidays, Sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank will be this Thursday, December 1st from 4:30-7:30 pm at the Windham Civic Center. It is a great way to kick off a fun holiday weekend and the December count down to Christmas.

Tickets are available for $15 person and will not be sold at the door. Children 5 and under are free.

Come sample cuisine and wine from local restaurants and caterers and enjoy a fun festive evening. 

Santa Claus is Coming to Center Square Saturday

Santa's Christmas Parade This Saturday, Presented by High Roller Wells

November 28, 2022 - Santa Claus is coming to town this Saturday, December 3rd.

In keeping with the holiday tradition, the Grand Marshal, Dr. Danny Paul and Sally Windham, this year’s Distinguished Service Award winners, will lead the parade at 6:00pm. Over 20 floats will make their way through the heart of downtown to delight the young and old alike.

Santa’s Christmas Parade Theme: "Christmas Around the World"

November 25, 2022 - Santa’s Christmas Parade which will be held on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 6:00pm. The Parade is presented by High Roller Wells. The theme for this year’s parade is "Christmas Around the World."

Categories for the 2022 Parade will include: Individuals, Schools, Businesses, Churches and Civic Organizations. Judges will award cash prizes to the top three places in each category. The Float Competition Sponsor is the City of Center. The Sponsor for the Grand Marshal is Town and Country Real Estate.

Mangum Funeral Home New Owner Ribbon Cutting Today

November 1, 2022 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce invites the Public and Chamber members to a ribbon cutting at Mangum Funeral Home to welcome new owners Traci and Tony Willoughby to the Chamber The ribbon cutting will be held on Tuesday, November 1st at 3pm. 

Mangum Funeral Home has been apart of Shelby County for nearly 90 years. Traci and Tony purchased Mangum Funeral Home earlier this year. They are honored to continue the legacy.
