September 10, 2026 - September is National Library Card Sign-up Month. Since 1987, the American Library Association has used this month to remind the public how important libraries are. For families, students, and communities, having a library card is the single most valuable free resource in this country.
The community library is a free, relaxing, safe space where you can rest, read, research, and renew your mind. You don’t have to buy anything. There is no yearly membership fee. It is one of the last places you can just be you, free of charge.
August 27, 2026 - The Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library is very thankful to the East Texas Communities Foundation for their generous and continued support from the John Reagan Harris Foundation Fund.
This allows us to improve library services such as public Wi-Fi, children's books, Wi-Fi hotspots and other library services. By providing this funding, the library can continue to serve the needs of the community.
The Summer Reading programs at the Fannie Brown Booth Library have come to a close. The library wishes to extend a huge "Thank You!" to all the parents who encouraged their child to participate in these programs.
Informative programs on dinosaurs, paleontology, fossils, animals, magic, and American history were enjoyed by a large group of children. The theme for the Summer Reading programs was "Unearth a Story", and we also included a program to celebrate America's 250th birthday.
June 25, 2026 - The Summer Reading program at the Fannie Brown Booth Library continued this week. Our summer program theme is "Unearth A Story." The program this week at the library was titled "Celebrate America's 250th!" and told the story of America.

May 5, 2026 - The staff and Friends of the Fannie Brown Booth Library would like to thank the public for their support during the Spring booksale. It was a great success! Lots of people saved money by purchasing books at a low price and helped the library to have the funds to purchase new books.
