May 27, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Shelby County Class of 2024-2025 visited several locations impacting the quality of life in Shelby County. Quality of Life Day was the final session in the nine month program.

May 19, 2025 - The 49th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, is right around the corner – October 2, 3 and 4. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your creative side in art, quilting, canning, crafts, woodworking, metal art and photography.

All creative art divisions and are open to Youth (6th through 12th grades) and Adults (17 and older). The art division will also be open to Elementary (K – through 5th). The Creative Arts Show is sponsored by Doches Credit Union.

The mobile Shredding Unit will be available on the downtown square on May 16 from 10am – 2pm.
Community members are invited to bring documents that need to be shredded.

May 8, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Teacher Appreciation reception, presented by Badders Law Firm and hosted by the Shelby County Chamber, was held on Wednesday, May 7 at the Windham Civic Center in Center at 4:30pm. The reception is held annually to salute and recognize the dedicated administrations and teaching staff of all the Shelby County school districts.

April 28, 2025 - Center Independent School District and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host an Appreciation Lunch for First Responders, throughout Shelby County this Friday, May 2nd between 11am and 1pm at the Center Intermediate School gym, next to Portacool Park.
