Sign Up for Grill Fest Washer Pitching Tournament, 42 Tournament

April 13, 2026 - Join the Fun at Grill Fest - April 24th and 25th. In addition to sampling great barbeque you can participate in the 42 Tournament and the Washer Pitching Tournament, both sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank.

Both events will be held on Friday evening, April 24th. Registration for the 42 Tournament begins at 5:30pm and the Tournament begins at 6pm. Registration fee is $10 per person / $20 per team. Winning team takes the jackpot prize.

Grill Fest 2026

April 13, 2026 - Fire up your grills, start working on your bean recipes, and start mastering your margaritas and bloody mary drinks. Grill Fest 2026, presented by Farmers State Bank, will be held April 25th at the John D. Windham Civic Center with set up and cooking starting on the evening of April 24th. In addition to the food and beverage competitions there will be a Washer Pitching Tournament and 42 Tournament. Steve Adams, Karoke will provide musical entertainment.

Climate Closet to Celebrate Grand Opening

March 26, 2026 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the community to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Climate Closet, the newest climate controlled storage facility, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, April 8th at 11am.

Climate Closet is conveniently located on the loop and features climate controlled units, security camera monitoring, keypad entry and a spacious parking lot. There are 56 storage units ranging in size from 8x8 to 15x12, including 10x15 and 10x20 walk through units.

Grill Fest is Back! Sponsored by Farmers State Bank

March 16, 2026 - Grill fest 2026 is scheduled for April 24th and 25th at the Windham Civic Center

The Grill Fest sanctioned barbecue cook-off will take place Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th at the Windham Civic Center.

Cook teams may register and enter the contest with a $150 registration fee prior to April 3rd or $200 after that date. You may register up until the day of the Event. The barbecue cook-off is sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society.

Everlume to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Feb. 27

February 19, 2026 - A Ribbon Cutting ceremony, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, will be held for Everlume, on Friday, February 27th at 11am. The community is invited to attend.

Tiger Tea New Business Ribbon Cutting

February 11, 2026 - Please join Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Tina Hutto, Owner of Tiger Tea, at a New Business Ribbon Cutting on Friday, February 20 at 11am. Tiger Tea is located at 211 South Center Street, next to the Tiger Shack, in Tenaha. The public is invited to attend to celebrate.

All teas come in a 32 oz Mega Size cup. They are sugar free and stevia based. Need a little extra energy? You can add an extra liftoff for energy, a metabolism boost, and to support memory recall.

Strong Heart, Strong Women Luncheon

January 29, 2026 - In recognition of American Heart Health Month, women in the community are invited to attend a special Strong Heart Strong Women presentation and luncheon on Thursday, February 12th from 11am until 2pm at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office. The event is sponsored by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office.
