Poultry Festival Chicken Trot Early Bird Registration Ends Friday

September 3, 2025 - Runners and walkers are invited to take part in the upcoming Poultry Festival Chicken Trot 5K happening on Saturday, October 4th, 8am, at Portacool Park. The Chicken Trot promises fun, fitness, and fellowship while supporting the Center Rotary Club and the many community programs the Club members support and sponsor.

July 28, 2025 - A new full-service hair salon is proud to announce its official Grand Opening Celebration. The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with owner, Allison Odom, invite the community to attend the official Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting for Graceful Beauty Salon on Friday, August 8th at 1pm.

Graceful Beauty offers a full range of hair services and custom facials all delivered by Allison and her team of talented licensed professionals. Obagi products are also available.

Happy Tails Adoption Center Hosting Open House, Ribbon Cutting

July 15, 2025 - Formed in 2022, Happy Tails Adoption Center’s mission is to improve and protect the lives of animals in our community and alleviate their suffering and abuse. Happy Tails provides care, comfort and compassion to animals in need while engaging the hearts, hands and minds of our community to bring about an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned animals.

July 10, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are excited to announce the official ribbon cutting for Bee’s Nail Studio on Friday, July 11 at 11am.

Owner, Bee Khan, along with his team Ashley Chavez, Kristen Lawrence and Nora Lawhorn, offers a full range of manicures, pedicures and nail art. Additional services include lash lifts and lash extensions, brow tints and laminations and waxes.

East Texas Poultry Festival Creative Arts Show Committee Looking for Participants

May 19, 2025 - The 49th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, is right around the corner – October 2, 3 and 4. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your creative side in art, quilting, canning, crafts, woodworking, metal art and photography.

All creative art divisions and are open to Youth (6th through 12th grades) and Adults (17 and older). The art division will also be open to Elementary (K – through 5th). The Creative Arts Show is sponsored by Doches Credit Union.
