November 24, 2025 - The Taste of the Holidays, Sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank will be next Thursday, December 4th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Windham Civic Center. It is a great way to kick off a fun holiday weekend and the December count down to Christmas.

Tickets are available for $15 person. Children 5 and under are free.

November 12, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Lisa and Roderick Jones, owners of White Cottage Mercantile, will welcome Chamber members and the community to a Business After Hours event on Thursday, November 20th from 5pm until 6:30pm.

November 7, 2025 - The community is invited to attend a Stephen F. Austin State University tennis clinic and exhibition, featuring the Southland Conference Champion LadyJacks, at Center High School tennis courts on November 12th at 5pm.

This fun and educational event is a great opportunity for the Center High School tennis team, parents and community members to learn from collegiate athletes and coaches. 

October 28, 2025 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are pleased to welcome NacSpace as a new member and invite the community to join in celebrating with a Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, November 13th at 10am at the Chamber office on the Center downtown square.

October 6, 2025 - The 49th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival was a huge success! Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and the community for your support.

I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Center Police Department as well as to our other local law enforcement agencies, the Sheriff’s Office and State Troopers, for their outstanding service during this year’s Festival. Their presence, professionalism and dedication helped ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend for all attendees.
