October 12, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a relocation ribbon cutting for AT&T, owner Bill Patton, on Tuesday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at their new location in Hilltop Marketplace at 854 Hurst Street, Suite 100, in Center. Refreshments will be served and for those present there will be a drawing for a chance to win one of three prizes.
September 29, 2016 (Updated) - The 40th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant, platinum sponsor Shelby Savings Bank, will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 and last year's Queen Kamaryn Smith will crown the Miss East Texas Poultry Festival Queen 2016 in the Center High School Cafetorium.
September 19, 2016 - The 40th Annual East Texas Poultry Festival kicks off with the Chicken Fajita Lunch, sponsored by East Texas Poultry Supply, slated for Wednesday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m. on the Historic Downtown Center Square. The deadline to place orders is Friday, September 23.
September 16, 2016 - The Poultry Festival Open Photography Show, sponsored by Vieux Carre' Photography, in conjunction with the 40th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank, will be held at the office of Dr. Charles R. Collard, O.D. located next to the RIO Theatre on the downtown Center Square, October 6, 7 and 8, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
September 12, 2016 - The chicken cooking contest recipe deadline is Monday, September 19. The recipes are to be emailed to info@shelbycountychamber.com, fax to 936-598-8163, or dropped off at the Chamber office on the Center square.
September 8, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will host a relocation ribbon cutting for Luquette Chiropractic, owner David Luquette, on Thursday, September 8th at 11:00 a.m. Luquette Chiropractic is now located at 232 Tenaha Street in Center.
September 2, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Betsy Swanzy, owner of East Texas Awards & Engraving, will welcome Chamber members to a Business After Hours event on Monday, September 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 118 Nacogdoches Street on the downtown Center square.
