February 29, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce regretfully announces that the relocation ribbon cutting for Chris Mayfield State Farm Insurance located at 908 Hurst Street in Center has been postponed.  The ribbon cutting that was to be held March 2nd will be rescheduled to a later date.

Chris Mayfield has been a State Farm agent in Center for 16 years and provides home, auto, life, fire and commercial insurance. The agency also offers financial services.

February 18, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Shelby Beautiful Clean committee has set the date for the Annual Electronics Recycling Day, presented by the City of Center.  Saturday, March 5, beginning at 10:00 a.m., the Chamber will have two trailers on the downtown square to accept items for recycle.  Items will be accepted until the trailers are full.  

January 29, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to East Texas Awards & Engraving to welcome new owner, Betsy Swanzy. The ribbon cutting will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 11:00am. East Texas Awards & Engraving is located on the historic downtown Center square at 118 Nacogdoches Street. All attendees will be eligible to register for a 30 once Yeti Rambler Mug with free name engraving and refreshments will be served.

January 7, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a new member ribbon cutting for 936 CrossFit, owned by Grant Belrose, on Thursday, January 14 at 4:00 p.m. 936 CrossFit is located at 139 Catco Drive in Center.

936 CrossFit can meet your fitness goals. Clients will receive quality coaching and workouts that will help them look and feel much healthier. CrossFit Kids is an after school program and in the near future they will offer low impact classes.
