East Texas Awards & Engraving New Owner Ribbon Cutting

January 29, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to East Texas Awards & Engraving to welcome new owner, Betsy Swanzy. The ribbon cutting will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 11:00am. East Texas Awards & Engraving is located on the historic downtown Center square at 118 Nacogdoches Street. All attendees will be eligible to register for a 30 once Yeti Rambler Mug with free name engraving and refreshments will be served.

936 Crossfit New Member Ribbon Cutting

January 7, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors invite the public to join them at a new member ribbon cutting for 936 CrossFit, owned by Grant Belrose, on Thursday, January 14 at 4:00 p.m. 936 CrossFit is located at 139 Catco Drive in Center.

936 CrossFit can meet your fitness goals. Clients will receive quality coaching and workouts that will help them look and feel much healthier. CrossFit Kids is an after school program and in the near future they will offer low impact classes.

Santa’s Christmas Parade This Saturday, December 5

November 30, 2015 - Presented by Shelby Savings Bank - Santa Claus is coming to town this Saturday, December 5. Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Committee Chairman Randy Collard reports that during the parade afternoon the Daughters of the Republic William Carroll Crawford Chapter will host tours of the First Ladies in Texas Building on the historic downtown Center square beginning at prior to Santa’s Christmas Parade, presented by Shelby Savings Bank.

Mooney’s Emporium to Host Business After Hours

November 23, 2015 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Mooney’s Emporium will host a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, December 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mooney’s Emporium is located at 107 San Augustine St. on the downtown Center square. Betty Mooney and Chelle Mooney will showcase their newest inventory items.

Mooney’s is a specialty shop with a variety of unique items, custom designed tee shirts, one of a kind gifts and many ideas for Christmas presents.

Vendor Space Available at Santa's Christmas Parade

November 19, 2015 - Christmas Parade Committee Chairman Randy Collard informed the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce that vendor spaces are still available for the Santa’s Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

According to Collard, vendor space is limited and free to churches, civic and non-profit organizations. Interested organizations must complete a vendor application and will be notified regarding acceptance. Approved vendors can set up from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the day of the parade at an assigned location on the downtown square.
