May 30, 2024 - The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southwestern Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana, Western De Soto Parish in northwestern Louisiana, Northern Shelby County in eastern Texas, Panola County in northeastern Texas until 11:30pm CDT.
At 8:31pm CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
May 30, 2024 - (Update - 9:32pm): Severe thunderstorm watch 355 remains valid until 12-midnight CDT tonight for the following areas in Louisiana this watch includes 17 parishes in north central Louisiana: Caldwell, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Ouachita, Union, Winn
May 28, 2024 - (Update - 11:40am): At 10:56am CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Mansfield to 9 miles southeast of Logansport to near Neuville. Movement was east at 35 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
May 16, 2024 - (Update: 2:43pm): The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Shelby County in eastern Texas San Augustine County in eastern Texas Northwestern Sabine County in eastern Texas until 3:15pm CDT.
May 16, 2024 - Flood watch remains in effect from 1pm CDT this afternoon (Thursday, May 16) through Friday evening.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Bienville, Caldwell, De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Sabine and Winn and Texas, including the following counties, Angelina, Cherokee, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine and Shelby.
May 12, 2024 - (Update: 9:09pm): as of 9:01pm, a Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas Attoyac Bayou Near Chireno affecting Rusk, Shelby, San Augustine and Nacogdoches Counties.
For the Attoyac Bayou including Chireno, minor flooding is forecast.
