June 10, 2026 - Planning is underway for the 50th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 1st-3rd on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 11th. June 8, 2026 - Please join Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Shelley Burrell, Owner, at a New Business Ribbon Cutting on Wednesday, June 17th at 11am. The community is invited to attend, to celebrate, meet the team and sample delicious food.

May 18, 2026 - The ribbon cutting for Beaner's BBQ has been cancelled for Tuesday, May 19 and will be rescheduled at a later date.

May 7, 2026 - The smell of slow-smoked brisket is about to become a staple in Tenaha, Texas as Beaner’s BBQ officially open its doors at 118 N. Bowers Street.

May 11, 2026 - Shred Day is scheduled for this Friday, May 15th from 10am until 2pm. The Shredding truck will be on the downtown square in front of the Chamber offices.
